We put this straight to our weaving partner, and the answer surprised even us.
It's not about height. It's about width.
The real number that matters for fit isn't the wearer's height — it's the saree's own width (called vidith in weaving terms). Our sarees are woven at a 46-inch width, which our partner confirmed is among the widest — if not the widest — of any regional saree tradition in India.
For context: Bangalore silk sarees tend to run longer in length, while sarees from further north are typically narrower. Our 46-inch width gives you more fabric to work with when draping — more room for pleats, more coverage, and a better fit regardless of height.
What this means for you
If you've held back from ordering because you're taller than average and worried about a short, awkward drape — that's not something you need to worry about with our sarees. The width does the work that height concerns usually attach to.
